Saudi Minister Discusses Economic Partnerships with Maldivian President in Male Visit

During an official visit to the Maldives, Saudi Minister of State Prince Dr. Mansour bin Mutaib bin Abdulaziz met with President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu. The visit coincided with the 61st anniversary of Maldivian independence, a significant event that Prince Mansour attended to underscore the robust bilateral ties between Saudi Arabia and the Maldives.

Prince Mansour’s participation in the independence celebrations highlights the continued commitment to fostering diplomatic and cooperative relations between the two nations. His visit is seen as a reaffirmation of the strong connection that both countries have cultivated over the years.

Upon his arrival at Velana International Airport, Prince Mansour was greeted warmly by key Maldivian officials. The welcoming delegation included Foreign Minister Dr. Abdulla Khaleel and Mohamed Naseer, the Principal Secretary to the President on Foreign Relations. Also present to receive the Saudi Minister was Yahya Hassan Al-Qahtani, the Saudi Ambassador to the Maldives.

The meeting between Prince Mansour and President Muizzu served as a platform to discuss various aspects of their diplomatic relationship, emphasizing the mutual interests and shared goals of Saudi Arabia and the Maldives. The continued dialogue between the leaders aims to strengthen ties in areas such as trade, investment, and cultural exchange, reflecting a commitment to deepening their cooperation.
