These incidents have been labeled as acts of aggression, prompting the ministers to reaffirm the kingdom’s right to protect its sovereignty and the safety of its citizens and residents. Additionally, the Cabinet voiced its disapproval of Houthi assaults on commercial vessels and the disruption of international maritime navigation in the Red Sea.
The attacks have resulted in injuries to over 70 individuals, including women and children, across various Saudi cities. In response, authorities have been instructed to ensure those affected receive the highest standard of medical care. The Cabinet meeting, led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in Jeddah, also focused on the broader regional issues, including developments in the Palestinian territories. Arab efforts to counter Israeli actions in Jerusalem and the expansion of settlements were part of the discussions.
During the meeting, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman provided an update on his recent dialogues with the leaders of Egypt, Greece, and Oman, underscoring the kingdom’s ongoing diplomatic engagements. These discussions are part of Saudi Arabia’s broader regional strategy to address and manage regional tensions and conflicts.
In addition to addressing the immediate regional challenges, the Cabinet expressed optimism about international cooperation, welcoming an agreement with Germany. The accord between the Saudi and German foreign ministries is set to establish a strategic dialogue, aimed at enhancing consultation and coordination between the two nations.
