In an effort to address escalating tensions in the region, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan engaged in separate discussions with his counterparts from Egypt and Qatar. The conversations were motivated by recent attacks aimed at Bahrain and growing concerns over maritime security.
During his meeting with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, both officials condemned the incidents and the threats posed to vital navigation routes. They underscored the necessity for enhanced cooperation, reduced tensions, and a renewed focus on diplomatic negotiations to foster regional stability.
Prince Faisal also held talks with Qatar’s Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani. In their dialogue, they similarly denounced the attacks and emphasized the critical need to safeguard maritime movement in the region.
The ministers stressed the importance of supporting ongoing diplomatic efforts, particularly those related to the US-Iran agreement, and advocated for broader initiatives aimed at bolstering security and stability throughout the Middle East.
