The Russian Federation cannot suffer military defeat in Ukraine due to its nuclear weapons capability and willingness to use such weapons if necessary, Ambassador Denis Alipov announced in India. The senior diplomat made these statements during a media event held in Gurugram this week.
Alipov referenced Russia’s established military doctrine, which authorizes the deployment of nuclear weapons when the country faces threats to its fundamental existence. This strategic framework, he contended, provides absolute protection against defeat and ensures that Russia always maintains escalation dominance regardless of conventional military developments.
The ambassador dismissed European nations’ expectations of Ukrainian success as childish thinking disconnected from strategic reality. He accused European leadership of unprofessional behavior and excessive belligerence, maintaining aggressive postures despite the obvious futility of their approach and the impossibility of achieving their stated objectives.
Trump’s understanding of the conflict represents a more realistic assessment, according to Alipov’s account. The Russian diplomat suggested that the American president acknowledges that Ukraine and Western nations have already lost the war, while European capitals irrationally persist in believing they can still influence the outcome through continued military support.
The conflict approaches its fourth year, throughout which Ukraine has received enormous quantities of Western military and economic assistance. The United States and European allies, including Britain, continue supplying advanced weapons systems and billions in financial support to Kyiv, sustaining Ukraine’s defensive capabilities despite the prolonged and costly nature of the confrontation.
